We receive from Stripe only a transaction identifier, the amount paid, and the payment status.

    1.3 User-Generated Content

We collect and store the content you create through the Service, including story prompts, generated story text, illustration preferences, and the resulting storybook files (PDFs and images). This content is associated with your account.

    • Operating system

    1.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality cannot be disabled while using the Service.

    2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

    • Create and manage your account
    • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
    • Process your transactions and manage your credit balance
    • Generate storybook content using artificial intelligence on your behalf
    • Store and make available your generated storybooks for download
    • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, or the Service
    • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
    • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
    • Comply with legal obligations

    3. Artificial Intelligence and Content Generation

Our Service uses third-party artificial intelligence (AI) providers to generate story text and illustrations based on your input. When you submit a story prompt or request image generation, your input is transmitted to our AI providers for processing. We do not use your story prompts or generated content to train AI models. However, our third-party AI providers may have their own data handling practices, which are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of service.

AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or free from errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before use.

    4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

    • Service Providers: Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including authentication (Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), AI content generation (OpenRouter), and hosting infrastructure. These providers access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.
    • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, we may disclose your information to the extent necessary to comply.
    • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
    • Protection of Rights: We may disclose information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our Terms of Service, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, or as evidence in litigation.

    5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and generated content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

    6. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication mechanisms, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    7. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for use by adults (parents, caregivers, and educators) to create children's storybooks. The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at the address below, and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

    7.1 Child Profile Data

Parents and account holders may create child profiles to personalize generated stories. A child profile stores the child's first name, age, and interests as entered by the parent. This information is used solely to craft story content tailored to the child — for example, by addressing the hero by name or incorporating the child's interests into the narrative. The parent or account holder provides and controls all child profile data. Child profiles are not accessible to other users. Deleting a child profile removes its data immediately and permanently from our systems. Deleting your account removes all associated child profile data. Child profile data is included in the prompt sent to our AI generation provider for the purpose of creating the story and is not used for advertising, analytics profiling, or sold to any third party.

    8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

    • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
    • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
    • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
    • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
    • Objection: Object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
    • Withdrawal of Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

    9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those of your country. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to such countries. We take steps to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

    10. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

    11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice, such as an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
